In redesigning this restorative space for a couple, we wanted to provide a backdrop for a life filled with surfing and a slower pace of living. Once their children moved out, the couple felt it was time to reward themselves with quality furnishings in their Long Beach bedroom.
This furnishing and decorating project included enveloping the space in warm taupe and layered global textiles. The custom bed and nightstands were designed to compliment the home’s mid-century architecture. The client’s bold selection of the aubergine draperies added a surprise richness to complete the natural palette that reflects a colorful family life.
